Disney is not only known for their characters, merchandise, films or theme parks, but also for their Broadway productions. Disney currently has several theatre productions on Broadway including Aladdin, The Lion King and Newsies. Unfortunately the cast of Newsies will soon take their final bows. On August 24th, 2015, the hit broadway musical will close it’s curtains for good. Newsies ran  for two and a half years and exceeded the profits that were expected from Disney. Although the Broadway community will miss Newsies, they are openly welcoming a new musical! Frozen the musical is finally confirmed. Frozen the musical is currently in early development for the stage. This is an extremely big project for Disney and is expected to follow in the successful foot steps of the other musical productions currently on the Broadway stage. “We’re not demanding speed,”Bob Iger, the CEO and chairman of Disney told Fortune. “We’re demanding excellence.” Olaf, Sven, Ana and Elsa are ready to take over Broadway in their highly anticipated musical.
