newsies 1Disney is not only known for their characters, merchandise, films or theme parks, but also for their Broadway productions. Disney currently has several theatre productions on Broadway including Aladdin, The Lion King and Newsies. Unfortunately the cast of Newsies will soon take their final bows. On August 24th, 2015, the hit broadway musical will close it’s curtains for good. Newsies ran  for two and a half years and exceeded the profits that were expected from Disney. Although the Broadway newsies 2community will miss Newsies, they are openly welcoming a new musical! Frozen the musical is finally confirmed. Frozen the musical is currently in early development for the stage. This is an extremely big project for Disney and is expected to follow in the successful foot steps of the other musical productions currently on the Broadway stage. “We’re not demanding speed,”Bob Iger, the CEO and chairman of Disney told Fortune. “We’re demanding excellence.” Olaf, Sven, Ana and Elsa are ready to take over Broadway in their highly anticipated musical.

Wrapping Up 2014 With The Top Films of The Year

gaurdiansAs 2014 comes to a wrap, it`s time to reminisce on the top films of the year. This film year was filled with adventure, comedy and love but one recurring them was nostalgia. It was a blast from the past this year when our old childhood toys were back up on the big screen. Aside from the classics, sci-fi and teenage romance were really popular this year, including heartbreaking love stories for the Millennial generation. The top ten films of 2014 includes, Boyhood, Birdman, Guardians of the Galaxy, The LEGO Movie, Veronica Mars, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Fault in Our Stars, St. Vincent, Nightcrawler and Veronica Mars. It was an exciting year in the film industry and who knows what 2015 will hold.
