It’s Official, Miley Cyrus Is Hosting The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards!

Miley EditThe rumors are true and it’s official Miley Cyrus is hosting the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, set to air live August 30 at 9 p.m.

In typical Miley fashion, she announced her big news by dressing up as an alien and wearing a sandwich board that reads “MTV WON’T LET ME PERFORM” on one side and “SO I’M HOSTING THIS YEAR’S VMA’S” on the other.

At just just 15, Miley attended he first VMAs in 2008. She was nominated for Best New Artist and was up against Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. She’s had quite the history with this award show since then. Last year, she made headlines when she graciously offered up her acceptance speech time to her homeless date, Jesse Helt, who explained the plight of homeless youth in L.A. That moment sparked the creation of Miley’s Happy Hippie organization, which gives support services to those in need.

And, as you might remember, Miley’s 2013 VMAs were marked by the twerk seen ’round the world, when she danced with Robin Thicke and a giant foam finger. Never forget.

We can only imagine the amazing antics she’ll pull this year.

Miley Cyrus’s, Happy Hippie Foundation

It may seem like Miley Cyrus has been staying out of the spotlight but what she`s been up to is definitely attention worthy. Miley has started up her own foundation which she has named Happy Hippie Foundation. The goal of this foundation is to bring awareness to youth homelessness. Her newly launched campaign is on both MileyFacebook and Twitter. The main slogan present on these social media platforms is “young people to fight injustice, starting with youth homelessness.” This is an issue that Miley is extremely passionate about and she is striving to bring awareness to this cause and an end to youth homelessness. The first time Miley brought up this issue was when she brought Jesse Halt as her date to last years VMAs. Jesse was formerly a homeless youth. Aside from her date, Miley has been recording a series of small concerts in her own backyard. This project is called “Happy Hippie Presents.” Some of her musical concert guests include Ariana Grande, Against Me! and Joan Jett. This is a project that not only hippies but the whole world should get in on.

Get the Inside Scoop on Miley Cyrus’s Bangerz Tour!

Miley Cyrus is back with her wildly popular Bangerz tour. The tour was delayed due to medical issues that Miley was  experiencing. She is now fully recovered and anxious to continue the rest of her tour according to her twitter.

The tour kicked off right here on Long Island at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on August 1st. The show opened  with her hit song, Love Money Party and concluded with Party In The U.S.A. There was never a dull moment and the  whole venue was dancing and singing along the entire time.

She was able to maintain a personal connection with the audience and kept the audience anticipating on what would  happen next. The set list included songs from her most current album title Bangerz and also some of her older songs. She  also covered songs from The Beatles and The Smiths.

She’s come a long way since Hannah Montana but her musical and performing talents have definitely matured which  keeps her loyal fans constantly guessing on what her next move will be.
